James is constantly tasting barrels for purchase from all over the world. We are very picky on what we buy. We turn down 90% of the barrels that we are offered. It has to be good. Bottom Line.
Most new brands offer or blend with young spirits.. We don’t...that’s why rejection is good for us, and for you. We reject barrels that we feel are sub-par, leaving you with only the best to enjoy.
THE RYE
When we went to buy our first barrels of whiskey, we bought bourbon, but the first barrels we bottled were actually rye. This rye is comprised of 95% rye and 5% malted barley varying in age statements and available for picking. Ask anyone who's tried one...they don't disappoint.

THE SMALL BATCH RYE
After the single barrel ryes took off, we knew we needed to offer up a bottle geared towards newcomers. At 100 proof, this small batch blend marries 4 and 8 year ryes into a wonderfully approachable offering. Our first two batches yielded. 12,000-15,000 bottles and were available in 8 other markets other than Tennessee.
