Nashville gets more rain than Seattle. The good news: the best Nashville experiences are all indoors — and several are significantly better when you're not trying to rush back outside. Nashville Barrel Company leads this list.
Rain is the best excuse to spend an hour at Nashville Barrel Company. The Whiskey Flight from the Barrel is 30 minutes and walk-in. The Premium Tasting is 45 minutes and genuinely educational. The Blend Your Own session is a full hour. Two locations: Downtown at 425 Church Street and HQ at 222 Fesslers Lane (free parking, full distillery). When it's raining, the barrel house at HQ is exactly where you want to be.
One of the best rainy day museums in the country. Multiple floors, rotating exhibitions, the largest country music artifact collection anywhere. Budget 2–3 hours. On a rainy day, you'll have it more to yourself than usual.

If rain hits on your planned outdoor day, pivot to the Single Barrel Experience at NBC. Four barrels, guide-led, one hour. The group votes on the winner. The bottle gets filled and labeled before you leave.
Nashville's burlesque dinner theater — live performance, full dinner service, cocktails. Book well in advance. A great rainy night option unlike anything else in the city.
The Whiskey & Wine Chocolate Pairing at NBC Downtown is the best 30-minute rainy day option near downtown. Walk-in, $40/person. Good for ducking out of the rain and turning it into something.
Broadway is actually better in the rain — fewer tourists, shorter lines, more space. Robert's Western World is the pick (no cover, house band, the best dive bar atmosphere in Nashville).
