Nashville Weekend Guide · Local Edition
A Nashville weekend works best when you treat it as two distinct days with a plan. Here's the itinerary we'd give any first-timer — built around the experiences that actually define the city. Nashville Barrel Company anchors day one.
Head to the NBC Downtown Tasting Room at 425 Church Street. Walk-in, no reservation. The Whiskey Flight from the Barrel — four award-winning drams, 30 minutes, $35. Resets your palate from travel. Two minutes from the Ryman, five minutes from every Broadway bar.
Puckett's on Broadway (live music, solid food) or, if you booked ahead, Rolf and Daughters in Germantown (exceptional, worth the 10-minute Lyft).
Broadway — early. Get there by 8pm. Robert's Western World (no cover, house band, fried bologna sandwich). Leave by 11.
Book a morning session at NBC HQ at 222 Fesslers Lane — free parking, 8 minutes from downtown. The Single Barrel Experience ($150, custom bottle) or Blend Your Own ($200, you build the blend) — both 60 minutes, both end with a custom-labeled bottle filled on-site. Book a week ahead on weekends.
Book Saturday Morning →Biscuit Love in the Gulch. Get there before noon. The bonuts are worth the wait.
Country Music Hall of Fame (2–3 hours) or 12 South neighborhood walk. 12th Avenue mural, Imogene + Willie, Las Paletas, Belmont campus.
The 404 Kitchen or Butcher & Bee in Germantown. Reservations required — book before the trip.
Ryman show if you have tickets. Rooftop at L27 or Assembly Food Hall after. Robert's to close.
East Nashville — cross Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge (great views), Five Points Pizza, Ugly Mugs Coffee.
If you haven't done the Chocolate Pairing, walk into NBC Downtown before your flight. 30 minutes, $40/person, no reservation. Or check out the barrel pick page and start planning a return trip.
Single Barrel or Blend Your Own at NBC HQ. The weekend experience that generates the most "best thing we did" reviews.
